Although you can make a CMY or CMYK tiff file, it probably **can't** be considered "standard" because there is no standard color space defined for CMY or CMYK.

You most certainly can create a standard CMYK TIFF file. It's described in the TIFF 6.0 specification.

PHOTOMETRIC = SEPARATED
SAMPLESPERPIXEL = 4
INKSET = CMYK (=1)

Matching colors is a different issue....
