GitLab is still free for open source projects. But we need to register the project as an open source project with GitLab for that to take effect.
Yes, we would need to be successful at that. I see that would provide a free 50,000 minutes.
In the mean time, buying some minutes may help. I am not sure how many minutes we are using, but the price for 1,000 CI Minutes is $10.
The cost for 50,000 minutes with the pay-as-you go approach would be $500!
Meanwhile we are close to the end of the month so there should be a fresh allocation of free time in the new month.
There has been a lot of development energy going into the libtiff project recently and it would be sad to see the energy wane due to a "quota".
