We could keep the existing build systems. I volunteer to do the initial set up provided I get the OK from the collective group.
So then we'd have to maintain *two* sets of build scripts?
I fail to see any benefit in this whatsoever. make isn't broken and it isn't on its way out. Nor is maintenance of the makefiles a significant problem for the libtiff project. What would cmake have to offer us that would justify the conversion costs?
