2002.09.06 12:43 "Adobe PhotoShop 6.0 and scanlined TIFF/JPEG", by Rainer Wiesenfarth

We generated a scanlined TIFF/JPEG image with Adobe PhotoShop and got this:

TIFF Directory at offset 0x8
  Subfile Type: (0 = 0x0)
Image Width: 11660 Image Length: 11800
  Resolution: 72, 72 pixels/inch
  Bits/Sample: 8
  Compression Scheme: JPEG
  Photometric Interpretation: YCbCr
  Samples/Pixel: 3
  Rows/Strip: 1
  Planar Configuration: single image plane
  Photoshop Data:, 6894 bytes
  JPEG Tables: (558 bytes)

It says RowsPerStrip is 1. I thought for TIFF/JPEG RowsPerStrip has to be a multiple of eight? How to decompress these images as PhotoShop itself seems to be able to handle it?

Any ideas?
