Given the errors, I strongly suspect you need to refresh to the very latest liblerc master.
I deleted the local lerc git and started from scratch, cloning from master again. Then I deleted the whole libtiff build directory and restarted from scratch. The errors were produced after that. Some problem persists.
My confusion was that yesterday I had successfully built from master and today it failed gain. V.2.2.1 works properly.
