Mikhail,
Is support for old jpeg completely deprected or am I missing some simple tweak which will make it compile?
It could be you're missing some simple tweak... but I don't think so. It seems like tif_ojpeg isn't up to date on the latest changes in the surrounding library. And it's not likely that someone will update it, seeing a totally new tif_ojpeg is on its way.
In any case, I would suggest not wasting much time trying to build with current tif_ojpeg. Even if you do succeed, you'll likely find that it doesn't support many of the different flavors of ojpeg, and even badly crashes on some, and such.
It'll likely take one or two weeks before the new tif_ojpeg is in CVS. So your best option may be to wait for it. I'll post a message on the list when there's news.
