I just wanted to get a feeler about tentative plans for 4.0.0 release. I saw the beta5 1-2 months ago and tried it out. Any specific plans for release candidate or the final release?
There are no "specific plans" at this time. There do seem to be a few minor regressions compared to the stable version. The beta is fully usable for most purposes and is what the various libtiff maintainers are usually using. Each of these betas should be considered to be a potential release candidate.
