Libtiff 4.0.5 is now available. Read about it at "http://www.remotesensing.org/libtiff/v4.0.5.html.

Major improvements in this release since the prior release are:

• CMake build support is contributed by Roger Leigh.
• Large files (>2GB) are supported by tif_unix.c under Microsoft Windows, provided that the CRT version is new enough. This makes it a viable alternative to tif_win32.c (which already supported large files).
• Large files (>2GB) are supported by libtiff tools under Microsoft Windows, provided that the CRT version is new enough.
• tiff2pdf may (has not been verified) support large files better on 32-bit Unix systems where off_t is 64-bit but 'long' is 32-bit.
