As soon as the quotation marks are inserted, the errors disappear.
oh, can you try the patch at https://gitlab.com/libtiff/libtiff/-/merge_requests/237 then? Hopefully that should fix it.
I've tried a bit to figure out how to make a libjpeg12 build, but the last time I did was many years ago, if I ever did (I mostly used that capability with GDAL's embedded libjpeg12 copy). I believe one must start from the CVS repo at http://libjpeg.cvs.sourceforge.net/libjpeg/...
