A few people have asked why I want to use multiple copies of the same tag. The answer is, "I don't."

The reason I want to know about this is not because I want to put multiple copies of the same tag into an IFD, it's because I'm writing something that parses through a TIFF for some specific information, and I'm wondering whether I have to take the possibility of multiple copies of the same tag into account or not.
