Hi Martin, Yes, we are dynamically creating the tiff through a combination of other processes. We will look into the page number tag issue.

Thanks for your help.

two but not all of the images in the tiff contain a page number tag.

So the problem may be in the Software which created the tiff or the way you did it. The images with the page number contain the Software tag "Ghostscript" the other three "ImageMagick".

And, not all image viewers respect the page number tag especially in your mixed case.

A switch may be added to tiff2pdf to ignore page number information...

This file http://vs.spiralfx.com/msd2.tif is converted by tiff2pdf into this
file http://vs.spiralfx.com/msd2.pdf, but the pages in the PDF file are out
of order.

It is a small file (5 pages) so it is easy to see that the second page in
the PDF is not the second page from the TIFF file.

A little further inspection shows that the pages are the same, but out of
order.

I have done some due diligence to see if this issue has been reported
before; and also I downloaded and compiled the 4.0.0 version, to verify if
this problem is fixed.

I have a few questions:

a) Is this the right place to report such a bug, or should I register and
use the bugzilla link referenced on the man page?

b) Is this program being actively maintained at a pace where this could
expect to be fixed in a day or two (if it's an easy fix), or is the
development cycle much longer?

The reason I'm asking is that we are using this tool in a production site,
so we need a fix quickly. Of course, that is not the development group's
problem; I'm simply trying to decide if we should wait a bit or try to
implement a work-around using a different tool.

Thanks for any help!
