Yes. Sadly, that was my pointŠ I don¹t believe we¹ve heard back from Adobe, although I know Leonard was trying to push for a status.

The issue with just adding this to libtiff, and becoming a new source of ³truth² for tags, is that there are literally thousands of tags that were registered with Adobe, that are not referenced in the libtiff code to which you¹ve referred. Undoubtedly, new registrations would stomp all over old ones, which destroys the whole point of a registry.

At the very least, Adobe should turn over the current registry state if they don¹t want to maintain it further. It would be very unprofessional not to do one or the other.

As there is apparently no one no longer in charge of the maintenance of the registry, I'd consider that the registration is: https://gitlab.com/libtiff/libtiff/blob/master/libtiff/tiff.h#L191
