Where do I get a detailed description of the MH coding scheme including all the run length codes? How are the line and page endings coded?

The ITU sells the specification - I guess their web site is www.itu.ch

The codes are listed in the TIFF 6.0 spec, which is available, hmmm.... dunno off-hand. Probably at www.adobe.com, or search for TIFF6.pdf

EOL is 11 (or more) zeros followed by a 1. End of page (strictly speaking: return to control) is 6 consecutive EOLs and is only necessary "on the wire", not when compressed data are encapsulated in a tiff file.
