I have been able to compile libtiff with the Watcom 32-bit DOS compiler and run some of the tools with DOS/4G. They work, as far as I have tested them. It was not difficult. I also am interested in getting libtiff to compile with the Microsoft 16-bit compiler but have not yet had time to do it. (I will be using the DOS/16M DOS Extender.)
