Is there a reliable way to determine the bit-depth supported by the libjpeg that libtiff is built against?
I know that whatever jpeglib.h which happens to be present in the include path may be included to obtain the BITS_IN_JSAMPLE definition, but this doesn't seem to be a 100% reliable indictation of the bit-depth of the libjpeg that libtiff happens to be using.
