I'm creating JPEG-in-TIFFs (comp mode 7) with LibTiff 3.5.7. I find that a few high-profile apps (like Microsoft's Document Imaging, Filenet and ACDSee) can't decode them, yet these same apps can read JPEG-in-TIFFs (again, mode 7) that were created with LEADs TIFF encoder.
are there any known issues with 3.5.7's JPEG-in-TIFF encoder? (can't search the archives right now, apparently)

I don't see any differences between two images with except of that the LEAD one is tiled while libtiff one is stripped. Probably it is the problem?
