I'm BCB6 user, I've reading the documentation in order to display correctly a 12-bit image
What is 12-bit image? Is it just 16-bit TIFF where the actual dynamic range of the values limited by 12 bit?
True 12-bit TIFF images do exist. Development GraphicsMagick 1.1 (http://www.graphicsmagick.org/) knows how to read and write them (12 bits is not a default output!). Images like this normally come from scientific CCD cameras.
There is a GraphicsMagick build environment for BCB.
