I see. MinGW depends on whatever library happens to be installed so %ll may work on some Windows systems (which happen to have an updated library) and not on others.

Hm. I'm lost. What's the updated library? I have 15 copies of msvcrt.dll in this machine, I guess the one that is picked up is the one in c:\windows\system32 and it is from 14.4.2008 (size 343 040).
