Hopefully the remotesensing.org site has taken significant precations with its CVS server since many sites (including the site that hosts the CVS software itself) have been hacked in the past couple of months due to implementation weaknesses in CVS's pserver protocol. Disabling the server is a wise precation. It will be a sad day indeed when trojan code is inserted (and not detected) in an open-source package like libtiff.
