I have retrieved the patch, and applied it. I find the following problems
1) The file libtiff/tiffshraxp.opt is missing
2) The file libtiff/tiffshr.opt is not renamed to libtiff/tiffshrvax.opt
3) mkg3states.c still declares main as void
4) A lot of minor corrections are needed for the new version, I will send
them later.
5) The IEEE<->native floating point routines that use to be in libtiff are
gone. They are needed on the VAX.
