Platform used:

- Windows NT 2000 service pack 4

- Windows NT 2003 server with large memory support enabled (/3GB swith
in boot.ini)

I've build a small application that calls TIFFReadEncodedStrip for an
opened JBIG file which

is suppplied by the JBIG kit.

The tiff library used is tiff-3.9.0beta. The file used is \jbig
files\A_FAT070702000780C0289.tif

The function fails because a malloc returns a null pointer, indication a
lack of memory.

I counted the memory which was allocated within the JBIGkit only and
that was wore then 1,6 Gigabytes!

After that I build the same app with large address support on Windows NT
2003 server to

enable 3Gigabyte support for the max virtual address space instead of
the standard 2 Gigabyte.

This gave the same result however the the memory allocated within the
JBIG kit was more then 2.6 Gigabyte.

Should this work on a 32 Windows NT machine or I'm doing something
wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Rob
