The decoder I used to view them is pretty robust, but I have currently no access to warnings output. Thus, it is entirely possible that it has grounds for generating some warnings, I don't know. One final note is, are you sure you want to use the .tf8 extension? There was a pretty hefty discussion about this on the mailing list. Opinions were divided, and we reached no final conclusion. I personally plan to use the .tif extension.
