I see. I also notice that "TIFF" has never been a registered
trademark of Aldus or Adobe (or Microsoft) so Adobe never registered
it in the country where they are headquartered. Aldus and Microsoft
do not appear to have claimed a trademark in 1988. What modifications
should users and supporters of the format make to their behavior in
order to continue using "TIFF" as they were before?

Would it be possible for Adobe to issue a new edition of the TIFF
specification which updates the URLs and email contact information to
valid addresses, as well as includes Chris Cox's draft additions?

Thanks,

Bob
