thanks for the reply,
I have the ImageMagick software.
Could you please provide me the module name or the file name which handles packing/unpacking of pixel samples from a byte stream.
Also, does the getfield/setfield/getfielddefaulted/setfielddefaulted functions do any kind of error checking for the values of the tags passed/read from the file? Or, it has to be done before passing any values to them(set functions) or after receiving any values from them(get functions).
