Dear All
Apologies if I've missed a thread on this. A colleague has been sent a bunch of tiff files generated by some Adobe app. on windows.
On Fedora Core 4 I have tiff-3.7.1 and produces a lot of warnings when converting using tiff2ps.
I downloaded tiff-3.7.3 and tried again, a lot less warnings:
./tiff2ps ~/tmp/img1.tif > ~/tmp/img1.eps TIFFReadDirectory: Warning, /home/ian/tmp/img1.tif: Bogus "StripByteCounts" field, ignoring and calculating from imagelength. TIFFFillStrip: /home/ian/tmp/img1.tif: Read error on strip 146; got 2232 bytes, expected 7000. /home/ian/tmp/img1.tif: Can't read strip.
(was in the 100's before!)
However the resulting image is not correct - seems various blocks of the image have been moved around. See:
http://www.stams.strath.ac.uk/~ian/tiff/
for img1.tif (1000k) and img1.eps (2000k).
Can anyone suggest a way forward to convert these to PS or some other bitmap format?
Many thanks!
Ian
