My company does not maintain LibTiff, it merely hosts the LibTiff mailing list

I have thus sent this reply to both you and the actual mailing list, bottom
quoting your complete mail. You may want to consider subscribing to the mailing
list here. That way, you'll personally receive any possible answer, and be able
to post follow-up questions or 'thank you' notes.

Alternatively, if you don't want to subscribe to the list but still want to see
the possible answers to your question, this can be done at the mailing list
archive's portal page, here:

This messages and the possible answers will appear in the 'most recent threads'
section, shortly.

Subject: Error Help me

Hi all,
I'm using the libtiff version v3.5.6 (Beta) under MSVC++ 6.0.
I get this following message while trying to open a tiff file with the
instruction TIFF* tiff = TiffOpen(myFile,"r"):

Undhandled exception in myApplication.exe : 0xC0000005: Access

Most of my tiff files work correctly with the instruction above, but others
don't. All the files have the same attributs and the same compression
May be it is just a bug which has been fixed in the final version.
Could someone tell me?
