Thread2006.09.26 10:48 "Re: Status of ISO JBIG and CIELAB JPEG support", by Jean-yves Le Ridant> I would appreciate links to what are hopefully "reference" images that reflect > the correct output according to spec. This lack of reference reader/writer/viewver is why I said to Joris about trying ICCLAB ( I understand that ITULAB is "great"). The difference being only in the ab rescaling, from a codec point of view, the process is the same. And photoshop for exemple, perfectly load and display ICCLAB jpegintiff files, with various subsamplings. But only 8 bits depth ... :-((( I have some I can place somewhere in cyberspace. IMHO, anyway you turn the question and for a lot of reasons, ( de facto ) out of your own personnal well controled scope, a "jpegintiff CIELAB affair" for any purpose other that what PhotoShop can do ( in turn save a monochrome file with a well defined calibrated L grayscale ) is basically ... hazardous. -- Jean-Yves |
